Issue: rnOn certain buses, the C1 drive hub in the transmission may fail. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the drive wheels when the bus comes to a stop. This can disable the bus and make it unable to move under its own power.rnNote: This recall only affects certain buses built with an Allison B500 transmission.rnrnSafety Risk: rnA bus that is disabled could create the need for a transfer of passengers in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnVolvo will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Volvo service center to update the Transmission Control Module software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020639.
