Issue: rnOn certain motorcycles, the nuts that secure the exhaust pipe to the engine may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the nuts and securing collars could become loose and separate from the motorcycle. rnrnSafety Risk: rnParts that detach from the motorcycle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnKawasaki will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the exhaust pipe gaskets and securing collars, and to install the mufflers correctly.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021641.
