Issue: rnOn certain side-by-side UTV's, the accelerator pedal may not return when it is released. This could cause the throttle to stick open. rnNote: This recall replaces R-21-01 (Transport Canada Recall 2021-008). If your UTV was inspected as a part of that recall, but the accelerator pedal was not replaced, your UTV requires this repair. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA throttle that sticks in the open position could cause a loss of control and create the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnThe company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your UTV to a dealer to replace the accelerator pedal. To reduce the safety risk, the company recommends that you should avoid driving your UTV until the recall repairs have been completed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021782.
