Issue: rnA small number of motorhomes were incorrectly manufactured with four seat belts, whereas only driver and front passenger seat belts should have been installed. As a result, the cargo carrying capacity would be incorrect, as the weight of each belted seating position is included in that calculation. This could lead to overloading of the motorhome and cause poor handling or a tire failure. rnrnSafety Risk: rnOverloading of the motorhome could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnNone of the affected motorhomes have been delivered to customers. Forest River will instruct dealers to remove two seat belts that are installed into the theater seating before the motorhomes are delivered.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2023535.
