Issue: rnOn certain side-by-side UTVs, the front and rear passenger seat belt bracket(s) may not have been properly welded. As a result, the seat belt(s) could detach. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA seat belt that detaches could create an increased risk of injury. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, Polaris advises that you shouldn't transport passengers until the recall repairs have been completed. Polaris will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your side-by-side to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the seat belt crossbar(s).

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024458.
