Issue: rnOn certain motorcycles, a software problem could cause damage to the throttle position sensor. This could lead to an unstable idle, engine hesitation or the engine could stall. rnNote: This recall replaces recall M23-008 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-339). Vehicles that received a software update under that recall also require this repair. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnYamaha will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to update the engine control unit (ECU) software and replace the throttle position sensor assembly.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025059.
