Transport Canada carries this recall as 2025353, dated 24 June 2025. The American register carries the same defect as campaign 25V400, dated 13 June 2025. They are the same defect because the manufacturer filed both under one internal campaign code, CSN3229.

The two registers are 11 days apart: the American entry is dated first, the Canadian one second.

These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.

Read the American notice 25V400, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

Issue: rnOn certain aerial devices, voltage spikes in the power distribution module could damage the transfer case control module. As a result, the system could detect the wrong driving mode selection. This could cause poor handling and/or reduced braking, and lead to a loss of control. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA loss of control could create the risk of a crash. Additionally, reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, Altec recommends not to use the vehicle until the recall repairs are completed if any 4x4 warning messages are turned on. Altec will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Altec Service to add a diode to the ignition power circuit.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025353.
