Transport Canada carries this recall as 2025647, dated 20 November 2025. The American register carries the same defect as campaign 25V806, dated 20 November 2025. They are the same defect because the manufacturer filed both under one internal campaign code, 25524.

Both registers carry the same date for this defect.

These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.

Read the American notice 25V806, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

Issue: rnOn certain trucks, the quick release valves for the parking brake may not work properly. As a result, the transmission may not shift into neutral (N) automatically. If this happens, the truck may move suddenly.rnrnSafety Risk: rnSudden and unexpected movement of the truck could increase the risk of an injury or a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, International Motors recommends that you confirm the parking brake light is turned on and the transmission is in neutral (N) before exiting the truck until the recall repairs have been completed. International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the quick release valve(s).

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025647.
