What the ministry says is wrong
コラム式自動変速機付き車において、シフトレバー内部にある樹脂製ベースプレートとガイドプレートの締付け構造が不適切なため、炎天下の屋外駐車などにより当該締付け部の締付け軸力が低下し、シフト操作の繰り返しにより締付ねじが緩んで異音や引っ掛かりが発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、最悪の場合、ねじが脱落してガイドプレートが外れ、シフト機構と連動しているキーインターロック装置が正常に作動しなくなり、イグニッションキーが抜けず、かじ取り装置の施錠装置が機能しなくなるおそれがある。What is to be done about it
