再生制御式ＤＰＦ（ディーゼル微粒子除去装置）を装着した車両において、低速走行、頻繁なエンジン停止等のエンジンに軽負荷な状況で使用を続けた場合、ＤＰＦの自動再生（捕集した微粒子の燃焼除去）を長時間行う制御であるため、再生するためにエンジン内に噴射する軽油が想定以上にエンジンオイルに混入する。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、軽油の混入したオイルがブローバイガスの通路を経由して吸気管に吸入されシリンダー内で燃焼するため、異音、白煙が発生し、最悪の場合、エンジン回転の上昇、エンジン停止及び再始動不能となるおそれがある。What is to be done about it
