What the ministry says is wrong
パワーステアリング用油圧ポンプの製造工程において、当該ポンプと高圧配管をつなぐための接続用金具の締付トルクが不適切な状態で取り付けられているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該金具が緩み作動油が流出し、ハンドル操作が重くなるおそれがある。What is to be done about it
全車両、パワーステアリング用油圧ポンプの製造メーカを確認し、対象となるものでありオイル漏れのあるものについては、シールリングを新品に交換したうえで配管接続用金具を規定トルクで締め付ける。対象となるものでありオイル漏れのないものについては、配管接続用金具の緩みを点検するとともに規定トルクで増し締めする。なお、オイル漏れのない場合であっても著しい緩みがある場合は、シールリングを新品に交換する。The two passages above are quoted in Japanese because that is the language the ministry published them in.
