後写鏡の電気配線の配索設計が不適切なため、ドアの内部に浸入した雨水が配線の接続コネクタに付着することがある。そのため、接続コネクタ端子部に錆が発生して電気抵抗が増加し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、接続コネクタが発熱し、最悪の場合、車両火災に至るおそれがある。What is to be done about it
全車両、接続コネクタを点検し、損傷がないものは、防水シールドを取り付け、損傷があるものは接続コネクタを除去し、配線を直接接続したうえで、防水シールドを取り付ける。また、全車両、後写鏡ヒータの電気配線については、雨水がかからない位置に接続コネクタを移設する。The two passages above are quoted in Japanese because that is the language the ministry published them in.
