インテークパイプシールにおいて、設計検討が不十分なため、傷等によりインテークパイプ内に溜まったブローバイ凝縮液がインテークパイプとターボチャージャーの接続部から漏れた場合、ウォーターポンプのコネクタに滴下することがある。そのため、ウォーターポンプのコネクタ内の端子の腐食が進行し、最悪の場合、端子が短絡して異常過熱が発生し、火災に至るおそれがある。What is to be done about it
全車両、インテークパイプのシールを点検し、劣化が認められた場合は交換する。 また、ウォーターポンプ側とハーネス側のコネクタを点検し、状況に応じて清掃の実施、あるいは、ウォーターポンプ本体とハーネス側のコネクタを交換する。 また、全車両、コネクタにスプラッシュガードキャップを後付けする。The two passages above are quoted in Japanese because that is the language the ministry published them in.
