What the ministry says is wrong
エンジンオイルポンプにおいて、製造工程が不適切なため、エンジンオイルポンプとアッパーオイルパンを締結しているボルトが規定トルクで締め付けられていないものがある。そのため、走行振動等により当該ボルトが緩んでロアオイルパン内に脱落することで、オイルポンプチェーンが損傷してエンジンへのオイル供給不足になりチェックコントロールメッセージが表示され、コンロッドベアリングやメインベアリングの摩耗が促進して異音が発生するおそれがある。そのまま使用を続けると、コンロッドによる圧縮機能低下やクランクシャフトの回転異常が生じて失火して、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止するおそれがある。What is to be done about it
当該ボルトの締め付け状態を点検して、以下のいずれかの処置を実施する。１． ボルトが外れていない場合は、規定トルクで締め付ける。２． 既にボルトが外れている場合は、ボルトとアッパーオイルパンとオイルポンプのねじ山を確認して、損傷がある場合は交換して規定トルクで締め付ける。また、オイルポンプチェーンの損傷状態を確認して、損傷がある場合は、交換する。The two passages above are quoted in Japanese because that is the language the ministry published them in.
