What the notice says サイドメンバとフロントエンドクロスメンバとの隙間設定が不適切なため、アクセルケーブルが当該隙間に配索される可能性がある。アクセルケーブルが当該隙間に配索された状態で車両前部を衝突させると、軽微な衝突であってもアクセルケーブルが損傷する場合があり、そのまま使用を続けると、アクセルケーブルの摺動荷重が増大し、最悪の場合、アクセルペダルが戻らなくなるおそれがある。

サイドメンバとフロントエンドクロスメンバとの隙間設定が不適切なため、アクセルケーブルが当該隙間に配索される可能性がある。アクセルケーブルが当該隙間に配索された状態で車両前部を衝突させると、軽微な衝突であってもアクセルケーブルが損傷する場合があり、そのまま使用を続けると、アクセルケーブルの摺動荷重が増大し、最悪の場合、アクセルペダルが戻らなくなるおそれがある。

What is to be done about it

全車両、アクセルケーブルの配索経路を点検し、サイドメンバとフロントエンドクロスメンバの隙間に配索されている場合は、アクセルケーブルを対策品に交換する。当該隙間に配索されていない場合は、アクセルケーブルにスポンジパッドを追加する。
