On certain school buses, bolts securing the battery box to the bus body may be missing, causing the number of fasteners securing the battery box to be inadequate. In addition, battery terminal shields were also omitted, contributing to corrosion. This could result in the battery box separating from the vehicle and increase the risk of a fire and/or crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace corroded components, add shields and replace missing bolts.
