Issue: rnThis recall is for accessory trailer brake controllers that were dealer-installed or sold as an accessory part at a Ford dealership. rnrnA software problem in the trailer brake controller could cause the trailer brakes not to apply when you brake. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA loss of trailer brakes could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnFord will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the integrated trailer brake control module software.
