Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a previous over-the-air (OTA) software update could cause the backup lamps not to turn on when the vehicle is reversing. rn rnSafety Risk: rnBackup lamps that don't work could cause others not to recognize when a vehicle is backing up, and increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnFord will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module software.
