Issue:
On certain snowmobiles, the recall repairs completed by a Polaris dealer during recall S-23-06 (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-024) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair may be required.

On certain snowmobiles, the primary (drive) clutch could fail. If this happens, the clutch or pieces of the clutch could separate from the vehicle.
Note: This recall only affects snowmobiles with a Patriot 650 or 850 engine. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall 2024-024.

Safety Risk:
Clutch parts that separate from the snowmobile could hit a person and create a risk of injury.

Corrective Actions:
Polaris will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to replace the primary clutch. Polaris advises not to use your snowmobile until the recall repairs are completed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025271.
