What the notice says 消防車両に装備されているエンジンブロックヒータ（冷寒時始動性向上装置）において、端子部の絶縁用キャップの耐熱性が不足しているため、長期間にわたり長時間通電を繰り返すと当該キャップが劣化し、絶縁性能が低下することがある。そのため、使用過程において、融雪剤等が端子部に浸入すると、腐食により接触抵抗が増加して、端子部が発熱し、断線または焼損することがあり、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
