大型トラックのＥ１３Ｃ型エンジンにおいて、エンジン制御プログラムと吸気バルブ用 ロッカアームの形状が不適切なため、吸気バルブにカーボンデポジットが付着し バルブガイドが摩耗するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、 バルブとシリンダライナが干渉することで異音や振動が発生し、最悪の場合、 バルブが折損して、エンジンが停止するおそれがある。What is to be done about it
全車両、エンジン制御プログラムを書き換えるとともに、吸気バルブのガイド を点検し、ロッカアームを対策品に交換する。なお、バルブガイドに摩耗が 生じていた場合は、シリンダヘッド一式を新品に交換する。 また、プログラム書き換えにより、再生時のメータ内表示等が一部変更になる ので、その旨をお客様へお知らせする。The two passages above are quoted in Japanese because that is the language the ministry published them in.
