一般道路走行時には使用を禁止している補助ステアリングシステム（運転席を後方に向けて作業する際の操作性を確保するための装置）において、当該システムの誤操作防止構造が十分ではないため、一般道路走行時に当該システムの操作スイッチ（逆ステアリングスイッチ）を誤って操作した場合、当該システムが作動し、操舵時に運転者の意思に反して逆方向に操舵される。What is to be done about it
［１］型式Ｌ００１、Ｌ００１改、Ｌ００２、Ｌ００２改およびＬＷ２５０Ｌ１ 全車両、以下の対策を行なう。 ①逆ステアリングスイッチが作動状態である場合、運転者に対し警告する警告ブザーを取り付ける。 ②逆ステアリングスイッチに誤操作防止のためのカバーを装着するとともに、当該スイッチを増設して２個とし、２個のスイッチがいずれも作動状態である場合のみ、当該システムが作動する構造とする。 ③２個のスイッチの内、いずれか一方が作動状態となった場合、補助ステアリングシステムが作動している際の警告ブザーとは異なる警告ブザーにより運転者に警告する構造とする。 ④補助ステアリングシステムの電気回路において、短絡等の故障が発生した場合にも当該システムの誤作動を防止するためのリレーを追加する。 ⑤逆ステアリングスイッチカバーには「走行中操作禁止」のシールを貼り付ける。 ［２］型式ＬＷ１６０１およびＬＷ２００Ｌ１ 全車両、補助ステアリングシステムが作動状態である場合、運転者に対し警告を発する警告ブザーを取り付ける。 なお、対策品の部品の技術的検証及び部品の供給に時間を要することから、早急に次の対策を行ない、技術的検証が済み次第、速やかに（平成１７年２月下旬予定）対策品に交換する。 ・使用者に対し、誤操作を防止するため、当該補助ステアリングシステムの使用方法を周知徹底する。The two passages above are quoted in Japanese because that is the language the ministry published them in.
